Richard E. Heroux 1936 - 2010 CHICOPEE - Richard E. Heroux, 73, of Chicopee, died on Friday, February 5, 2010 at Wingate of South Hadley. He was a retired machinist at Cheney Bigalow, Trantex Inc., Holyoke Wire & Cable Co. and also a color matcher at Sullivan Paper Co. Richard was born on September 24, 1936 in Chicopee and was a life long resident. He was the son of the late Edmund and Juliette (Frigon) Heroux. Richard loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. He is predeceased by his son-in-law, Paul Lemke, who died in 2008. Richard is survived by his wife of fifty years, Barbara Ann (Gaulin) Heroux; three sons, Martin Heroux and his wife, Julie of Jackson, Missouri, Joseph Heroux of Chicopee and Edward Heroux and his wife, Nicole of East Brookfield; two daughters, Michele Lemke of Chicopee and Nancy Banas and her husband, Andrew of Russell; a brother, Dennis Heroux of Chicopee; two sisters, Barbara Carraturro of Chicopee and Shirley Przybyla of Agawam; five grandchildren, Daniel, Travis, Matthew, Breanna and Avigail and four great grandchildren, R. J., Michael, Kaylee and Haley. Richard's funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 from the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 61 Grape St. in Chicopee, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Rose de Lima Church at 10 am. His burial will follow in St. Rose de Lima Cemetery. A calling hour will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 am before the funeral.
