Dick Hynds hired me as police dispatcher for Hollywood PD over 35 years ago. I remember him as a kind man and everyone loved and respected him. May he have peace and know he will be greatly missed.

As a policeman and a friend, Dick's kindness, thoughtfulness and sense of humor touched more people than can be counted or remembered. As a young Hollywood Police Cadet and later as Officer, I worked for Dick. I remember what a big guy he was and with an even bigger laugh. He was an intelligent man very deserving of his accomplishments. I was fortunate to know him in two areas of his life; Law Enforcement & Masonic. He was responsable and looked after many giving kind advice as needed. Though I left Hollywood after 8 years for a 25 year career with Miami-Dade PD, I never forgot those friends I had made in Hollywood and Dick stands out among them.
