My heart is so saddened to see this news of your passing. I didn´t know what happened to you but now I know and I am so heartbroken. You were a remarkable human being so full of life and love. I was lucky to have a friend like you. I copied this right from a text you send to me a while ago that I will never forget.

YOU get to decide whether to SET the temperature or REFLECT it... Be a thermostat!" (Rich James 2019)

Richard - your humor, your smile, your steadfastness to your values, your aspirations, your ambitions, your love of your family, your daughter, my children, my husband and everything/everyone else privileged to have been touched by your infectious spirit is a lesson in living life to its fullest. Your young 48 years serves as a master class; I am blessed to have experienced it. Thank you for your vibrancy, your huge stature, but bigger heart, your genuineness. My family and my children who knew you as Uncle Lichard (their little mouths couldn't make the "r" sound so young) will cherish and remember every moment with you. It was magic. May you rest in the arms of Jesus and hold your beautiful daughter again. May you be the angel to those of us left to mourn you. May your glowing light never dim. Love you dear brother, Richard!
