Richard Jette WEST SAND LAKE - Richard Jette, 81, of West Sand Lake died September 23, 2017 at home. Born in Lebanon, NH, he was the son of the late Ruth (Charboneau) and Oliva Jette and the husband for 63 years of Charlotte Jette. Educated in New Hampshire schools, he attended Hudson Valley Community College. Dick was a member of the Army National Guard, serving for six years. After 12 years of employment at an auto dealership, he retired in 1998 from Albany International after 32 years of service as a maintenance mechanic in textile manufacturing. He and his wife have been parishiioners at Saint Henry’s Church for the past 50 years and he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. In his earlier years, he enjoyed bowling and he was an avid baseball fan. Dick is survived by his wife; a son, Michael Jette and his wife, Claudia of Webster, NH; a daughter, Michelle Snyder of Sand Lake; a grandson, Jacob Snyder: two granddaughters, Catalina and Mariana Jette; a brother, Charles Jette of Rumney, NH; a sister, Elaine Devlin of Greer, SC; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:45 a.m. from the Daniel D. Purcell Funeral Home, 510 Pawling Ave. at Parkview Court, Troy and at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Henry’s Church, Averill Park where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will be in Saint Henry’s Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home Tuesday from 4 until 8 p.m. Donations may be made to St. Henry’s Church or to a charity of one’s choice.
