Richard G. Juster, 69, Valdosta resident since 1979, died on Monday, Aug. 17, 2009 at the Lake City Veterans Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Born in New York on July 23, 1940, he was the son of the late Myron and Edith Christiansen Juster. Mr. Juster spent his early years growing up in River Edge, N.J. He was drafted into the U.S. Air Force and served his country for 22 years. While stationed at Hickman Air Force Base he was with the Security Police. He was also stationed at Edwards AFB in California where he was responsible for space shuttle security. During his military career he attended and graduated from Penn State with a Masters Degree. After his retirement from the Air Force, Mr. Juster worked with The Equitable Life Insurance Company. Survivors are his wife, Nancy Juster of Valdosta; sons and daughters-in-law, Warren and Shala Juster of Sylvester, Glenn and Eun Young Juster of Clarksburg, Md.; daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Ray Haynes of Dawsonville; four grandchildren; sister, Joyce and Ed Wilkens of N.J.; brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Patty Juster of Boca Raton, Fla.; several nieces and nephews. Private graveside services with Military Honors were held on Thursday, Aug. 20, 2009 in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Chaplain Larry Kendrick of Lake City officiated.
