Richard Lamar Thomas Obituary
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Free Chapel Worship Center, with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Dewayne Welborn will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Thomas was born on Sept. 14, 1945, in Gainesville to the late J.W. Thomas and Dorothy Lou Gailey Thomas. He was retired from Department of Treasury as a Computer Analyst and was a member of Free Chapel Worship Center. He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Margie Thomas; and sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Bill Moose.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah Thomas of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Denice and David Lytle of Fairmont, W.Va.; son and daughter-in-law, John and Jena Bustle of Chantilly, Va.; son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Valerie Bustle of Chantilly, Va.; daughter, Sherri Brooks of Gainesville; daughter, Victoria Thomas of Gainesville; brother and sister-in-law, the Rev. Dewey and Elaine Thomas of Gainesville; brother and sister-in-law, the Rev. Dewayne and Paulette Thomas of Fairburn; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Tommy Justice of Dahlonega; brother and sister-in-law, Daniel and Carol Jones of Owens Crossroad, Ala.; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
