Richard Lattanzi Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 3, 2025.
Richard Emil Lattanzi passed away on February 27, 2025, in Baltimore, Maryland, just two days before his 82nd birthday.

Born on March 1, 1943, in Baltimore, Richard spent his life in the city he loved. He pursued his education at Loyola High School and Loyola College before earning his law degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law. His dedication to the legal profession was evident throughout his career, and he took great pride in practicing real estate law alongside his daughter and partner, Lisa Eisemann.

Richard was a kind, generous man, loved by many and deeply devoted to his family. He is survived by his son, Steve Lattanzi, along with Steve's wife, Dawn, and their daughter, Ella. His daughter, Lisa Eisemann, and her husband, Dave, also carry on his legacy, as do their children: Hannah Macmillan and her husband Corey; Emma Baird and her husband Bernard; and Timothy Eisemann. Richard is also survived by his brothers Tom Lattanzi and Phil Lattanzi and their families.

He has now been reunited with his beloved wife of nearly 58 years, Diane Lattanzi, whom he has desperately missed for the past 16 months. They were so deeply devoted to one another; he has never quite recovered from her loss. He also rejoins his brother Ed who he has dearly missed for over 15 years.

Throughout his life, Richard found joy in many pursuits. In his younger years, he was an avid athlete who enjoyed playing softball and basketball. Later in life, he developed a passion for golf, which he played enthusiastically until just a few years ago. A lifelong lover of reading and puzzles, he always appreciated the challenge of a good book or a complex problem to solve.

Faith played an important role in Richard's life. He was an active member of St. Michael Lutheran Church in Perry Hall for many years and sang in the choir there with great devotion. Even during his final days in the hospital, though not fully aware of his surroundings due to illness, he could still be heard quietly singing some of his favorite hymns-a testament to the faith that sustained him throughout his life.

Richard's memory will live on through those who knew him best-his family, friends, colleagues, and fellow parishioners-who will forever cherish the moments they shared with him. May he rest in peace.

Richard's family invites you to join them for a memorial service in celebration of his life to be held on Saturday, April 5th, 2025 at St Michael Lutheran Church in Perry Hall, located at 9534 Belair Road, Nottingham, Maryland 21236, at 11:30 a.m. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital [https://www.stjude.org/donate] or St. Michael Lutheran Church in Perry Hall, MD, be made in Richard's honor.

I am so sorry to hear of Dicks passing. To this day, I still say he was the best boss I ever had. One of the nicest and most caring people I have ever met and I cherish the memories of working for him. He truly cared for everyone. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.

Very sorry to hear about Dick´s passing. I was 2 years behind him at Loyola High School and Loyola College. Got to know him well at St. Ursula Chi Rho and played on his softball and basketball teams. Dick also played Bass for our folk singing group for a short period of time. He was a loyal friend and a great guy and he will be missed. My condolences to his family.

Sending hugs. Dick and Diane were always role models for me. Their love and devotion could be felt. Dick helped me navigate several home purchases, as did Lisa. Dick is now in God´s arms and then back to Diane´s. Love to all. Mary Lattanzi
