Richard Russell Lawrence Jr.

LAWRENCE, RUSSELL, age 22 of Clay, a loving and dear Son and Brother who lost his battle to cancer on Thursday, May 8, 2014. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Barbara and James Lawrence. He is survived by his parents, Cindy and Richard Lawrence; sister, Stephanie Lawrence Corley (Jonathan); grandparents, Mary and Robert Offutt; niece, Elizabeth Corley; nephew, James Corley; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Russell graduated from Clay-Chalkville High School in 2009 and was a student at The University of Alabama, where he marched in The Million Dollar Band for 2 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Center Point. His family will receive friends on Monday, May 12, 2014 from 2-3 PM at First Baptist Church of Center Point with his service beginning at 3. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to UAB Cancer Research.
