I hired Rick on at Daytons and we became good friends. Lots of fun playing softball with him and the occasional happy hour at Lyons with Tommy P. Sadly both good friends have passed....

I just found out of Rick's passing today. I've been trying to find Rick for the last few years and discovered of his passing. I served with Rick in the USAF stationed at Shaw AFB, SC. We both were aircraft electricians and good friends. Being he was from Minnesota, he was a Vikings fan and I a Steeler fan. Rick opened my world up to music that I did not know existed at the time. Music that is now classics, such of REO, Loverboy, Phil Collins, and Steve Winwood. He seemed to know they were going to be good bands and he was right. I remember his white Olds 442 car, a classic back then and still is. I've had a lot of friends and co-workers in my 26 year Air Force career, but Rick stands out as one of the best. I am truly sorry I could not get in touch with him after I left Shaw AFB in 1982.

I'm in shock! I knew Rick at Daytons and we were good friends. A year ago was able to locate him and speak to him for a Dayton's reunion and he was unable to attend for he had to put a boat dock in. He was a funny wonderful person. I'm sorry for your loss. Will miss that smile and his eyes!

My heart goes out to Rick's family. I went to high school with Rick. He was such a kind and caring person. He was witty and had a sick sense of humor. We had a lot of laughs together. He alway's bragged about his nieces and how good they were at volleyball. He loved his family and of course baseball. I will miss him.

I worked for Rick at Target for several years. We were also good friends and had fun outside of work, golfing, playing softball, Happy Hours, and BBQs.
My condolences to Rick's family.

I was so saddened to hear about Rick. I have worked with him at the BCA over the years on various projects. He was always so patient at teaching us "non-architects" and willing to share a laugh, I can hear it now. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

The news of Rick's passing has saddened so many of us here at Lifetouch. While he was only here for such a short time, he worked on my team -and he was such a treat and joy. Not only did he greet you with a smile, he was full of good ideas and a great teacher with a great sense of humor. Such a loss...Rick will be missed.

Knew Rick back in the 70's-pre highschool. Was a grade ahead but played neighborhood sports with him. Was a good kid. Always looked about 10 yrs younger than he was and now he is forever young. Rest in peace Rick

I have worked with Rick at the State ever since he started here many years ago and was very shocked and saddened by the news of his passing away. He always had a smile on his face and a real passion for the work he did. He taught me a lot over the years. His love for his family was obvious in his conversations. We will miss him dearly. Meg and the entire family, you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I had the pleasure of working with Rick at the BCA. Rick had a wonderful passion for his work, the organization and the ideals behind architecture. He appreciated the efforts, thoughts and interests of those he worked with. We had a lot of fun and he really cared not only about the work, but also the people he worked with. We're going to miss him.
