Richard David McCabe

Richard D. McCabe, known as "Dick" to friends and family, of Cypress, Texas passed away on December 3, 2022. Dick was predeceased by his parents Richard T. and Nellie McCabe, his sister Elenor Leaman, and his brother Paul Schaffer.

Dick is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Marsha McCabe, and his four children Michael, Patricia, Scott, and Christine, and daughters-in-law Michelle and Cathy, and son-in-law Bobby, as well as seven grand-children and seven great-grandchildren and beloved furry Friend Sammie.

Dick was born in Holyoke, Massachusetts on November 13, 1941. A proud Veteran, he served as Quartermaster in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era. After years of traveling the world as an executive with several major petroleum companies, he spent his retirement in Houston and Cypress, Texas with his wife, Marsha, who he loved immensely. He enjoyed music, cooking a good rack of ribs, entertaining, helping others and telling a good story. He had a big laugh and a big heart to go with it. He will be missed by all that knew him and all that loved him.

Celebration of Life will be on January 28, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 pm at the Heritage at Towne Lake Lodge, 19201 N. Canyon Lake Springs Drive, Cypress, Texas 77433.
