Richard McLaren Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 8, 2018.
Richard McLaren departed this Earth February 6th 2018. He was a loving and thoughtful
husband to Dana McLaren. Richard was an adorable, and adoring son to his mother Colleen
McLaren. He was a loyal brother to Mike McLaren and admired by his nephews Joe and Kyle,
as well as a devoted nephew to his Aunt Reenie. His step-children Drew Current, Leah Bain,
and son in law Charles Bain facetiously called him Fake Dad, but as anyone who knew him
would see, the love was never fake.

Richards talents were many, masterful and magical. Among his many talents were Master
Carpentry, and he left his fingerprint on many homes and hearts in his 42 year career.

He was born June 18th 1959 hitting the ground running, surfing, swimming, and skiing. He was
gifted with amazing athleticism with no fear and always pushed it just a bit farther.

He was respected and loved by his co-workers at Tri Star Masonry as a superintendent for 12
years.

He has left behind many family and friends who will miss his great big beautiful personality.
So as Richard's cabin in Grand Lake, CO. brought him peace, and comfort whenever he was
there, we send him off with smooth sailing and calm waters. We will love you forever, We will
miss you always, and in his own words...

Love Ya! See Ya! Bye Now!

Dick and I were great friends in junior and senior high school. As happens with friendships over the years we drifted apart. I saw him a few times and we always laughed at the shenanigans we got into. You will be missed old friend. Condolences to his mom, brother Mike and their families.
