RICHARD A. MERCADANTE

Mercadante, Richard A. 76, passed away on July 3rd after a courageous fight against cancer. The son of Pasquale and Ethel (Finney) Mercadante, he grew up in East Boston and lived in Middleton for 53 years. After working as a carpenter for many years he opened two businesses on Route 114 in Middleton: Construction by Classic and Modern Millwork. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Loretta (Inacio) Mercadante; his brother and sister-in-law, Patrick and Helen Mercadante of San Antonio, Texas; his daughter, Maria Corrado and son-in-law, Paul Corrado Jr. from Gloucester; his son, Richard Mercadante, Jr., daughter-in-law, Marcie Mercadante and granddaughter, Emma Rose Mercadante, all from Tampa, Florida. He is pre-deceased by a brother, Anthony. A wake will be held from 5 to 8 p.m on Thursday, July 9, at Mackey Funeral Home, at 128 S. Main Street, MIDDLETON. A funeral Mass will be held at 11am on Friday, July 10, at St. Agnes Parish, 22 Boston Street, Middleton. Burial to follow at Oakdale Cemetery in Middleton.
