I'm so sorry to hear about Rick passing he was one of the best guys I ever knew I only wish I could be half the he was just a good good person I got know him when him and another great guy Steve Lynch were assigned to the aci I love both them guys and to this day would do anything for them my sincere condolences to the family rick my friend rest easy I'll see you again love ya brother

I graduated with Rick in '73 and we worked at Almacs in the late '70's. He was a great person to know then and it seems he just got better as the years went on. Sorry for the loss you have to endure.

Sandy and family. i couldn't believe it when i saw Rick's picture in the obituary. Many times, when walking at Lincoln Woods, i could spot him in the distance, walking toward me. His boyish grin, we'd stop, shake hands, spend a couple of minutes talking about the past, and present,always sharing a laugh, then continue our walk, always leaving with a smile on my face.I will miss seeing him there, now when i walk, and will always think of him, as will countless others who got to know him there. He was like the Mayor of Lincoln Woods.

As I wipe my tears, I can only think of all the fun it was to talk to Rick. Always a hug and his first concern was for his family whom he deeply loved. Life too short for those left. God loved him and wanted him with him. Hug to you all. Joan and Jerry Zenke

Sandy and family, i couldn't believe it when i saw Ricks picture in the obituary. I've seen Rick many times during my walks at Lincoln Woods. I could always spot him approaching from a distance, as we walked towards each other, at the park. We stopped, shook hands, talked about the present, and the past, always shared a laugh, then continued on our way, always leaving me with a smile on my face. I was shocked when i saw Ricks picture in the obits. i couldn't believe it. i walked many mornings at lincoln woods. and Rick walked in the opposite direction. i could always spot him from a distance, and as we approached each other, we greeted each other with a hand shake,laughed and joked, spoke about the present, and the past, then continued our daily walk. i'll always think of Rick when i walk there now. I'm so sorry for this loss! Rick had a great impact upon my life when I was a teenager, living in the Hartford Housing Projects. I was on my bicycle watching him pull over speeders on Hartford Avenue. He would setup there often, and one day he called me over and introduced himself. One day he took me for a ride in his SP car to Burger King, and I believe that was the turning point in my life towards law enforcement. Years later, while working at P.C., I saw him at an Alumni Weekend where I learned that it was his alma mater! We had a great conversation that day reflecting on how we met and the day he took me to get food. He was a great man, and I will always cherish those memories of him and his friendship. I pray that God comforts his family and friends.

Please accept my sincerest condolences for the loss of Ricky. I can say in all honesty that I never had a single conversation with him that did not leave me with a huge smile on my face. Heaven is now a more interesting place with Ricky holding court.

I worked with Richard way back in 1975 at Almacs on Murray Street. Very nice person even back then. His father was also my dentist. So sorry for your loss...a difficult time I'm sure.
