Richard R. Peer, 74, of Delmont, died Wednesday, June 25, 2008, at UPMC Presbyterian hospital. He was born Sept. 10, 1933, in Pitcairn, son of the late Harry E. and Lucy L. Fritchman Peer. Prior to retirement, he was employed for 26 years by Art R. Cohen & Co. of Pittsburgh as a shipping and receiving supervisor. He was a veteran of the Army, having served in the Korean War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Anna Marcella Mains Peer; and son-in-law, D. Edward Boyce. Surviving are his wife, Marylou Marino Peer; three children, Terrie A. Boyce, of Golden Valley, Ariz., Beth A. Neil and her husband, Harry, of Irwin, and Ronald H. Peer and his wife, Tammy, of Jeannette; grandchildren, Jennifer Reynolds Gribschaw and her husband, Jason, and Timothy Reynolds, all of Fountain, Colo., Chelsea E., Brianne N. and William J. Neil, all of Irwin, and Jessica L. Peer, of Jeannette; great-grandchildren, Paige and Eric Gribschaw; stepchildren, Alfred Lewis and his wife, Mary, Bradley David and his wife, Gerry, and Amy Lynn and her husband, Paul; stepgrandchildren, Kirstin, Brandi, Sabrina, Kyle and Kyra; and a brother, H. Lynn Peer and his wife, Pat, of White Oak. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at JOSEPH F. OTT FUNERAL HOME INC., 504 Oak St., Irwin. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Brush Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Michael T. Glass Glioblastoma Research Foundation, P.O. Box 37 Wayne, NJ 07470 or www.mtgfoundation.org.
