Richard Pniewski Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 4, 2025.
Richard Michael Pniewski, 73, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away on January 28, 2025, in New York City, surrounded by his loving family. He was a devoted husband, proud father, and doting grandfather, whose greatest joy in life was his family.

Rich is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Nancy; daughters, Jill Pniewski and Beth Bell (Quin); and his cherished granddaughters, Samantha and Eleanor Bell. His daughters and granddaughters reside in New York City. He is also survived by his brother, Chet Pniewski, and was preceded in death by his parents, Regina and Chester Pniewski.

Rich will be joyfully remembered for his love of golf, the beach (especially Kiawah Island), birdwatching, photography, and simply spending time outside. But nothing in life compared to the love he had for his family and whatever they were interested in, sharing and supporting their passions with enthusiasm and patience.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no funeral service. Instead, the family invites you to privately celebrate Rich's memory in your own way.

In lieu of flowers, consider a donation in Rich's name to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
