Richard Sasser

On Wednesday, June 15, 2022, Richard Lee Sasser, loving father and grandfather of two children and four grandchildren, passed away at the age of 68 surrounded by loving family. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home in Spearman.

Richard was born in Wellington, TX to Raymond and Evelyn (Harris) Sasser. When he was a baby they moved to Spearman where he grew up and then raised his own family.

Richard loved farming and raising cattle. He enjoyed team roping in his younger years. He worked hard his entire life. Richard "Sass" was a friend to many. He would do anything for anybody. He had a unique way of showing his love and making each person feel special.

His greatest joy in life was spending time with his grandkids. They were his whole world. He adored his great nieces and nephews, and he loved spending time with all his "babies".

Richard was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Ronnie Sasser. He is survived by his daughter Ginger and her husband Mike, son Clint and his wife Brandy, his grandchildren Ashley, Joshua, Lindsey, and Zachary, his brother Deon, sisters Sherry, Vicki and Tammy, many nieces and nephews, and his best friend Joyce Crooks "Mumma".

A private funeral service will be held for the family. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to the American Cancer Society in his name.
