Melanie Nottingham

Melanie Dawn Lowder Nottingham, 42, of Salisbury, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017, at her residence. She was born July 11, 1975 in Rowan County to Linda Snider Lowder and the late Charles Thomas Lowder. Melanie worked for the Rowan County School System and Alco. She was well known for her needlework and loved to cook. Melanie was a member of North Main Baptist Church where she was active with the hospitality ministry, VBS and Awanas. She was well loved by her family and friends. Surviving is her son, Kenneth Lee Nottingham, Jr. and his fiancée, Candis Newton; sister, Tracy Renee Lowder; granddaughter, Paisley Nottingham; and several beloved nieces and nephews. Visitation and Service: A memorial service will be held Monday, Sept. 25, at 11 a.m., at North Main Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Dr. Dale Robertson. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorials: In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the family to help with funeral expenses.
