Richard was not only my nephew, but one of my best friends. Even though we didn't see each other often, I was always able to count on him. He was a great father, son, brother, nephew and friend. You could always count on a smile from Richard. He will always be in my heart.

No Matter Where I Travel,
No Matter Where I Roam,
I'm in my Father's Kingdom,
So everywhere is "home".
My ceiling's made of fluffy clouds
Afloat in skies of blue,
My carpet's woven out of grass
And flowers fresh with dew.
My walls are made of mountains
And woods of stately trees,
My home is warmed by sunshine,
And in summer, cooled by breeze.
For joy and entertainment,
I have a constant show---
Songbirds singing, sunbeams dancing,
Dawn and dusk aglow.
And when my earthly days are done,
And I no longer roam,
I'll still be in His kingdom---
I'll be in my Father's home!.
This poem is in memory of Rick, one of the greatest people we have ever met.
he is gone, but we will never forget him.

Dear Steve and Sandy,
Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. I'll always remember that sparkle in Ricky's eye as a little guy when he was about to get himself into a little trouble. He will always be a part of each of us.

Steve, Sandy, Sherri & Family,
Words are trite at a times like this and they are difficult to come by-- who can say what they really feel. The best way I guess is to simply say--Richard has passed through the door through which all of us must pass-- and if we believe and the Asians do, that one should "weep at birth and rejoice at death" then in a sense no matter how hard it is to accept we should feel that he has gone to another plateau-- his trails of this earth are over and he has gone to a place where we all hope to go. If we didn't believe this then it wouldn't make sense to go to church--or to observe the holidays. Those of us who were provileged to know and love him feel that he is not really gone because so much of what he have is still here. From the bottom of my heart--my deepest sympathy to you and your loved ones in your hour of sorrow.
THERE IS NO DEATH
There is a plan far greater than the plan you know.
There is a landscape broader than you see.
There is a place where storm tossed soulds may go--
You call it death-- we call it immortality

Mom & Dad,
As the dust settles and the sun begins to shine I look back on our lives and Rick was such a great brother, son and friend. We fought like cats and dogs but when times got tuff we pulled together. I have wonderful memories of growing up and having special times. You were great parents and Rick is in a better place looking down on us and with his big smile and warm heart. I miss him dearly but he will alway be in our hearts and soul. I love you Mom, Dad and Ricky

Aunt Sandy, Uncle Steve, Sherri, Camryn, Randy & Dylan...
Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Although we usually only got together at the family reunion, it was wonderful to know that you could always "pick up where you left off" with Richard. We will miss his wit and humor. Our prayer for all of you is that as the days go by, some of your sadness can turn to thoughts of the many happy memories you shared and that your tears will turn to smiles as you think of the good times with Richard.

Camryn, Steve, Sandy and Sherri: You are in my thoughts and prayers. Rick was a great person and I cannot even express how much I miss him because he was such a big part of my daily life. I know the pain I am feeling is nothing compared to what you are feeling, and I am at loss as how to find any comfort or understanding. I hope that this comes in time for all of us. If you need anything, please do not hesitate to ask.

Deep condolences to Sandy, Steve, and Sherri, but most of all to Camryn.
Although we haven’t ridden much in recent years, Rick was my favorite quad ridding buddy. We spent a lot of hours out there in the woods, both riding the trails and maintaining them. He always made things challenging. Last year we went riding a few times, once with Camryn. Rick’s fatherly and coaching advice made Camryn a top notch rider on the trails, and a good kid off the trails. I’ll truly miss Rick, especially our times riding those back woods trails.
