Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 17, 2024.
Richard "Rick" Adam Wieczorek Sr. born October 27, 1941, died February 11, 2024. (82 years)

Rick left this world to be in heaven with God and his parents Adam and Jean Wieczorek. He was a loving husband of 60 years to Catherine, brother to Joanie and father to Rick Jr and Jeff. His love for his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren was dedicated, caring and strong.

Rick valued faith and family but more especially his wife Cathy. He loved her with every heartbeat he had from the day they met. That love spilled over into raising their two sons, and it showed in how proud he was of Rick Jr. and Jeff. Rick Sr. and his sister Joanie respected and loved each other, they grew together strengthening their bond throughout their lives. Rick also loved working with his hands specifically wood projects for loved ones. He was well liked and respected during his long career in the credit union industry. Rick's strong faith in God made a difference in every aspect of his family, friends and career. During his life he was surrounded by a large extended family in Michigan where he grew up went to school and met his wife, Catherine. As the family spread out in Michigan and into Indiana, Rick moved his family to Northern Virginia where he was a successful credit union executive and eventually retired leading him to Ruckersville VA. Throughout his lifetime, he never forgot people he cared about and cherished them. Every place he lived, he met and made long lasting friendships, and he never met a stranger.

Our deepest condolences to the family. Rick was a very kind and generous man. We have fond memories of the cabin parties. He always wanted family and friends to have a good time. Prayers for comfort and peace. Sarah and Gary.
