When I was real young I remember watching Richard when he was in HS and wrestled at the old Middle School. He was bigger than life to me and I knew he was tough looking. His brother Mark used to talk about Richard all the time. When I got older I got to be friends with him and Holly. He used to come to all our band gigs and was our "bouncer",along with Smitty. We also played softball together and that where we gave him the name "Ripper", because he swung the bat and hit the ball so hard.We later named our band after him.We had some great times. You will be missed brother and never forgotten.

His kindness. As a young child, I was scared of the bull in Dad´s pasture. The Wyman family and McKenney family were playing hide and seek. I didn´t realize the bull was out and went to hide in an apple tree in the pasture. The bull came over the tree I was in and I was terrified. I was 6 or 7. Richard came in the pasture and rescued me. That memory has always stayed with me. He was a wonderful man.

He had a special connection with my mini yorkie Dextah, who inspired him to get Maggie. He even took him on a doggie date one day to meet her. He was the kindest heart, always helping so many and a true treasure to just chat with. I was lucky enough to call him my true friend and will miss him. He definitely made my world better and brighter

Richard was a caring, giving soul. He put a big smile on my face when he so generously painted my patio without my knowledge. What a wonderful surprise! He will be remembered fondly for his caring heart. Rest in peace Richard.
