Rick Benson Obituary
Age 54, of Jupiter Inlet Colony, FL, formerly of Fairview, PA died suddenly on March 17, 2008. Rick was born in Erie, PA on October 6, 1953 and graduated from Fairview High School in 1971, and graduated from Pittsburgh University in Petroleum Engineering and Geology. He then worked in the Petroleum Industry in Houston, TX. Returning to Erie, he worked at PHB Inc. at the Fairview, PA and the Beaufort, S.C. divisions. When in Beaufort he and his wife purchased Island Glass in Hilton Head S.C. Rick also became President & CEO of Hazard Control Technologies in Atlanta, GA until retiring to Jupiter, FL. Rick enjoyed hunting, boating, fishing and diving. Rick is survived by his wife of 23 years, Gerry; parents James & Gerda Benson of Jupiter Island, FL; sisters, Debbie Benson and Jan Thompson both from Fairview, PA; sister-in-law Sandy Benson of Bluffton, S.C. father-in-law, Thomas Greiner (Rose) of Bradenton, FL, mother-in-law, Carol Greiner of Pittsburgh, PA; sister-in-law Theresa Vaneman (James) of Cranberry Township, PA; Brothers-in-law, Michael Greiner (Sharon) of Peachtree City, GA, Keith Greiner(Sally) of Washington, PA, Jay Gable (Susie) of Rockville, MD, & Henry Greiner (Susanna) of Moses Lake, WA, and many aunts, uncles, nieces & nephews. Rick was predeceased by his brother Rob. Visitation will be held Friday, March 21, 2008, from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at AYCOCK FUNERAL HOME 1112 Military Trail, Jupiter, FL Memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society. 621 Clearwater Park Road, West Palm Beach, FL 33401
