Dear Kathy, Kristen & Eric,
I was so saddened to hear about Rick's death and even more saddened that I learned about it after the service. Rick hired me straight out of high school to work with him at Perry Homes in 1980. He was a great mentor. I worked for him for five years at Perry and was honored to work with him again at North American Mortgage. His leadership skills and professionalism are things I will always remember about him. He was a great man and I will miss him dearly.
Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and yours.

Dear Kathy and Family,
I am so sorry to learn of Ricky's death. He and I played baseball together in 1965 at U of H. He was a good friend and close team mate. I am just sorry we did not keep in touch over the years. Please accept my condolence in your time of sorrow.
Sincerely,
John R Bumpus

Dear Kathy, Kristin, and Eric...and family,
I was so saddened to hear the news that Rick had passed away. I have kept in touch with you and your challenges through your emails, and from Pam Thompson. I hope you know that I will continue to pray for your family as you regroup in these very tough times, and that I have to smile...knowing that Rick is seeing the face of Jesus at this very minute. How wonderful it is to have that peace and comfort and the assurance that there is no more pain, no more hospital stays, no more treatments...and he is there in his heavenly home...probably working with the building committee there already!
I am here if you ever need me...
I love you all,
Deah

Kathy,
You probably don't remember me, but I was saddened to read of Rick's death in this morning's paper. My childhood name was Virgie Goodson. My sister Patsy and I attended Jackson Jr. High and PHS with you and Rick. I was in the class of 1963, too, and I remember how handsome Rick was as our "Mr. PHS". (I was jealous of how pretty Gloria Bryant was, too - hehe). Rick's obituary has brought a flood of memories - of you as our Homecoming Queen walking across the football field under all those floodlights. I was in the band, on the same football field, playing my French horn as you accepted the accolades. You looked so glamourous! You and Ricky and Gloria and Cindy Brown (and some others) probably had no idea what an inspiration you were to those of us who weren't popular and successful and well-known.
Anyway, please accept my condolences. I pray that you will have the strength to get through this difficult time. God Bless You.
Marie
