Madeleine (Lemay) Ahern, 73, of Manchester, passed away on Monday, September 15, 2014, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Manchester, she was the daughter of the late Aime and Alma (Marcoux) Lemay. Raised and educated in Manchester, Madeleine had been employed as an accounting clerk for many years and most recently worked at Crowley Associates. A dedicated mother and grandmother, Madeleine's family was paramount in her life. Madeleine was a homebody who cherished time spent with her family. She embraced modern technology, keeping up with friends and family on the internet. In her spare time, she watched NFL games and NASCAR, always cheering on Jeff Gordon and the Patriots. Madeleine enjoyed gardening and bird watching. She found great comfort in the companionship of her four cats; Shalimar, Kazan, Munchkin, and Kizzy. She will be best remembered for her jovial spirit and generous heart. Madeleine is survived by her two sons, Kevin and wife Donna of New Boston, and Alan of Temple; her daughter, Amy Ahern and husband Ray Tyson of CT; her grandchildren, Aidan, Chloe, Cory, and Tim; her sister, Irene Demers; and extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, Madeleine was predeceased by her brothers, Robert and Marshall Lemay; and sister, Jane Sevigny. ARRANGEMENTS: A Visitation will be held in the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 250 Coolidge Ave., Manchester, on Friday, September 19, 2014, from 2:00 to 4:00P.M. and 6:00 to 8:00P.M.
