Ricketta Phelps Obituary
A graduate of Winship Magnet and Northeast High School, Cookie was known for her sweet demeanor and intelligence. Her love for music spanned all genres, and she found joy in watching sports, reading extensively, and singing-a passion that resonated in her soul.
Cookie leaves behind a loving family, including her father, Robert Stewart, brothers Joshua and Ridge Phelps, and sister Jessica Phelps, all residing in Macon. She was a beloved aunt to thirteen nieces and nephews and three great-nephews, who will miss her dearly. Her extended family includes one uncle Freddie Phelps; three aunts, Mary Graves, Shirley Woodford, Tania Phelps, and her godmother Victoria Ford, along with numerous cousins and friends who felt her warmth and kindness.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lora Lee Phelps; grandparents Douglas Phelps Sr., Minnie Lee Stewart, and Maple Lee Phelps; and her uncle Douglas Phelps Jr. and uncle Gregory Phelps, aunt Mildred Phelps.
The family will gather to honor and remember Cookie's life at a later time and date
in Macon, Georgia. Her spirit and memory will undoubtedly live on through the melodies she adored and the books she cherished.
