Riley T. Whittington Jr.

RILEY T. WHITTINGTON JR., 83, died Friday, October 1, 2004 at a local health care facility. He was born January 4, 1921 in Rogers, Texas and moved to the Houston area 80 years ago. Riley was a member of the Church of Christ Church in Stafford. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, and worked as a salesman in the Houston area for many years until buying his own Pepperidge Farms Cookie franchise. He is survived by his wife, Mary "Jane" Whittington of Sugar Land, his daughter, Bonnie Barton and husband John of Missouri City, his son, Craig Whittington and wife Missy of Stafford, 3 grandsons, Ryan Barton, Mitch and Russ Whittington, a great granddaughter, Kayla Barton and many other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, Tuesday, October 5, 2004 at 1:00 P.M. with Mr. David Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Honorary pallbearers will be his close friends Charlie Rao and Ralph Robinson.
