Once upon a time, you had neighbors living a few doors away from you on Summit Avenue with the same model house as yours, although you had a black exterior and ours was white, and the floor plans were flipped. When my daughter, Lauren was born, 43 years ago, I remember as if it was yesterday, Rita and Teddy coming over to see the baby. You brought for my daughter a very extraordinary, unique gift. It was a gold, baby ring. At first I wondered what to do with the ring -- until I decided to collect those rings for my daughter. On her 16th birthday I gave her the collection. I could tell during a few visits from Rita when she came by to see my daughter, she was trying to foresee her own future, and I could tell that one day she was going to be an outstanding grandmother. Rita was an excellent cook and baker. I think she really enjoyed baking. I still have her recipe for Plum Kuchen. Rita was a lovely person and during the time we lived close-by, we enjoyed a very nice relationship with Rita, Teddy and Debbie, although I don't recall seeing much of the boys during that time. I will never forget Debbie coming over one day and telling me if I went and stood out at the bus stop, the bus for high school would pick me up and I could go to school, too. For that amazing compliment, Debbie, I thank you. I've never forgotten you, your parents and your family. You were not only good neighbors, but nice friends and nice people,. I was very sorry to read about Rita -- I'm positive she was 86 years YOUNG when she left you. My love to the Daniels family on your great loss and my sincere condolences.

Dear Daniels family
My sincere condolences on your loss. Rita was a well liked member of our high school class and had joined us for lunches for a few years. I no longer am able to drive so was not able to join you for her funeral but want you to know I was thinking of her.
Sincerely

Rita was a wonderful vibrant presence. I worked with her at Peanut Butter and Jelly children's boutique and she quickly became a friend. I loved seeing her with her adorable husband Teddy and she met my young kids. I cherish her memory and am happy that I was fortunate to cross paths with such a dynamic person. Love to all her family and friends and may her memory be a blessing.
