Rita Leichliter Obituary
Rita Ann (nee LaBarre), 83, of Mesa, AZ, formerly of Elizabeth, NJ passed away on Friday, July 11, 2014. She was born in Union City, NJ to Alfred and Marie LaBarre. Beloved wife of the late Warren Leichliter. Loving sister of Yvonne Hanna and the late Marie Abitante, Therese Marano and Alfred LaBarre. She is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her niece, Renee Tedesco. Rita lived a rich and interesting life as a Sister of Charity for 25 years, a French Teacher and an Administrator in the Education Department at Kean College. The family will receive their relatives and friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Wednesday, July 16 from 9 - 10:30 AM, to be followed by the Funeral Mass celebrating Rita's life and faith at R.C. Church of the Presentation, 271 West Saddle River Road, Upper Saddle River, NJ at 11 AM. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Rita's name to: Banner Gardens Hospice House, 7231 E. Broadway Road, Mesa, AZ 85208.www.becker-funeralhome.com
