PARKS, RITA G. (BEAUFORT), 77, of Bagley Road, Warwick, passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2007 in the company of her family after a formidable battle with illness. She was the beloved wife of Emery R. Parks for 53 years.

Born June 28, 1929 the daughter of the late Alcide and Leda (Desmarais) Beaufort in Johnston, RI. Sister to the late Esther Correira, the late Rene Beaufort, and the late Oscar Beaufort. She was a member of St. William Parish. She lived her married life in Warwick, RI, a friend to many and a joy to everyone who knew her.

Beloved mother of Gary E. Parks (Sharon) of Cumberland, Gail R. Giroux (Robert) of Lincoln, and Michael E. Parks of Warwick. Beloved grandmother of Meghan and Christopher Parks (Louise), Gregory, Kelsey, and Nicole Giroux.

Her funeral will be held on Friday, March 23, at 8:45 a.m. from the Peter J. Barrett Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:45 a.m. in St. William Church, 200 Pettaconsett Avenue, Warwick. Visiting hours are Thursday 5-8 p.m. Burial will be in Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick. In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. William Parish Memorial Fund will be appreciated.

Dear Gail, Bob, Gregory, Kelsey, and Nicole,

Please accept our heartfelt condolences during this sad time of loss. You have walked a difficult path these last months and years, and we hope that you will find peace and comfort in thoughts and memories of Rita. All of your friends care and support you in this difficult time. Please know that all of us in the music ministry at Saint Jude's will remember Rita at our rehearsals in these coming weeks before the celebration of Easter, our hope of the Resurrection. From the Children's Choir where Kelsey and Nicole have shared their wonderful gifts, and the Jubilate Bell Choir which has been blessed by Gail's ringing we send our deepest sympathies.

Uncle Emery & Family,
