Published by Legacy Remembers from Apr. 10 to Apr. 11, 2023.
Rita Catherine Sperduto, known through her life as Reets, or Tah Tah, left this world on March 21st, 2023. She was surrounded by her loving sisters, Carol and Sara when she left us. Rita grew up in Rockville, MD, where she graduated from

Rockville High School in 1976. After high school she worked in banking and for Marriott Corporation. In her early thirties Rita moved to Myrtle Beach, SC and pursued a career in the food service industry. In her spare time Rita volunteered at local food kitchens, preparing and serving food to the needy. She loved the beach, riding her bike, dancing, and spending time with her cherished dogs. Rita had an unmatched wit, a contagious laugh, and an enthusiasm for all that life brought her way. She will be missed and remembered forever.

Rita was proceeded in death by her parents, Anthony and Cora Sperduto. She is survived by her siblings, Carol Ward, Nancy Holliday, Peter Sperduto, Sara Hunt, and Tony Sperduto, and many loving friends; including her partner of over 20 years, Robert Cantrell.

There will be a funeral mass for Riat at Saint Mary's Catholic Church, in Rockville, MD on Saturday, April 15th 2023, at 10:30 am..

Rita was very young when I last saw her. I always admired her mom, Cora, and her sibling's, Nancy & Carol.
I'm certain that Rita had Sperduto qualities - kind, smart, fun, loving, helpful.
I'm so sorry to have missed the St. Mary's Funeral. Bless Rita & her surviving family members!

Deepest sympathy to the family on Rita's passing. I knew her in Broome Jr. High School and we also worked at JC Penneys together. I remember her as a bubbly young girl full of life. I can still picture her with freckles and her hair in braids. God bless her soul. Amen.
