Rita Falk Tipton

Rita, 63, passed away on March 5, 2018, at home with her family by her side. She was born and raised in El Paso, TX, spent seven years in Boston, MA, and lived the latter half of her life in Houston, TX. She is preceded in death by her mother, Nannette Daugherty Falk, older brother Byron Aaron Falk III (Matthew), and love of her life Curtis Neal Jennings. She is survived by her older sister, Nerine Ann Falk, daughter, Madeleine Grace Pierson and her wife, Misty Marie Pierson.

Rita spent 43 years working in banking and finance, where she was able to shine as a leader, mentor, and friend to so many. She began her career in 1972 at El Paso Federal Savings and Loan as an Office Manager, and worked her way up to a Branch Manger. After she left El Paso, she worked as a Supervisory Agent and Director of Regulatory Affairs at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston. In Houston, Rita worked as a Branch and District Manager, Compliance Officer, and Sales Coach for numerous banks, before becoming an independent contractor and consultant. Her countless career accomplishments are too great to list, but those who worked alongside her are no strangers to her success. After retirement in 2015, Rita enjoyed traveling and spending time with those closest to her. Her compassion, honesty, and unwavering integrity will never be overwritten.

A Memorial Service will be held at American Heritage Funeral Home located at 10710 Veterans Memorial Dr in Houston, TX 77038 on Saturday, March 17, 2018. The service will begin at 1:00 P.M., with food and refreshment's provided at 2:00 PM. All of Rita's friends and colleagues are invited to attend.
