Bob was my brother-in-law. Growing up in Crawfordsville, Wabash College was revered as the pinnacle of higher education. He epitomized what that was all about, with his intellect and sportsmanship. My bothers and I all looked up to him for those qualities that made him so special. We loved his friendlyness and his dry sense of humor. One of my cherished memories are the times when his visited us with my sister, and stayed up half the night playing Chess with my older brother. They had epic matches!! Rest in peace Bob, and we will all see you on the other side in Heavenly glory.

Bobby Joe was impressive, unforgettable, one of the smartest guys I ever met. He was an exceptional athlete, gifted. Quick, strong and smart. One weight class apart, we wrestled together in practice, a tough afternoon for me.
We were fraternity brothers, class mates, team mates and room mates. Unfortunately, we lost track of each other in June, 1966. Now I know where to find when it´s my time. We´ll pick up where we left off.
