I worked with Bob at MIT for more than 20 years. He was bright and kindhearted, the person to go for help in any situation. I've learned a lot from his deep knowledge and a long time MIT experience. Bob will be dearly missed by all who knew him. My deepest condolences to the family.

I worked with Bob at MIT for over 15 years. He was an exceptional colleague, always so kind and compassionate. He was always ready to help us out with his vast knowledge in MITSIS and other technologies. There was a lot of fun and laughters when he was around. He will be remembered as a true friend and valued co-worker, and always in our hearts. RIP.

Bob and few of us sat in the same room at MIT, it was always fun to have him around. He always brought enthusiasm, and excitement in the office. He was always ready to share his vast knowledge about the MITSIS system. He will be remembered for ever and always in our hearts.

At MIT I knew Bob as a truly talented, intelligent, good person, someone who always seemed to have a clear understanding of the way things worked. He was a very sharing person, and helped many with his knowledge and experience. Because we didn't work on the same large systems at MIT, our contact was casual and infrequent, and I had no idea that his life had been so full of so many complex and significant work projects and interests; it's clear that he was a true renaissance man. His wit, kindness and enthusiasm for life in general brought a very positive spirit to all the efforts he was involved in, and helped everyone achieve and be successful. Obviously he will be missed by very many. I'm sorry that he has passed, but I am thankful that I met him. I'm sure that very many are also.

I met Bob at MIT. We were on the same team within the Information Systems and Technology department; but, we worked on different systems at MIT, so our paths didn't cross very much, especially in the last few years. But, I remember enjoyable conversations with Bob from earlier years that revealed his wisdom, his intelligence and his wit. My condolences to the family for your loss.

I knew Bob from MIT. He worked on the student systems side, I worked on the administrative systems side. He was a great guy, always fun to have a conversation with. My deepest condolences to Bob's family and friends.

Bob was my brother-in-law. Growing up in Crawfordsville, Wabash College was revered as the pinnacle of higher education. He epitomized what that was all about, with his intellect and sportsmanship. My bothers and I all looked up to him for those qualities that made him so special. We loved his friendlyness and his dry sense of humor. One of my cherished memories are the times when his visited us with my sister, and stayed up half the night playing Chess with my older brother. They had epic matches!! Rest in peace Bob, and we will all see you on the other side in Heavenly glory.

Bobby Joe was impressive, unforgettable, one of the smartest guys I ever met. He was an exceptional athlete, gifted. Quick, strong and smart. One weight class apart, we wrestled together in practice, a tough afternoon for me.
We were fraternity brothers, class mates, team mates and room mates. Unfortunately, we lost track of each other in June, 1966. Now I know where to find when it´s my time. We´ll pick up where we left off.
