Please join us in lifting in prayer the family and loved ones of 31-year WC member Jack Bair (wife Evon). Jack passed into the presence of our Lord and Savior on May 13, his 82nd birthday. The Celebration of Life service will be on Tuesday, May 27, 1 p.m. in Grace Chapel.

Obituary:

Jack Bair passed away peacefully on his 82nd birthday, May 13, 2025.

He is survived by his wife Evon; his children Kathie Bartlett, Rob Bair (Tomoko), Jana Dillingham (Todd), and Andrew Bair; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his sister Betty McKay; two nephews; and one cousin.

Jack worked in the pharmaceutical sales industry until retirement. He stayed active in retirement with his involvement at White's Chapel Methodist Church, working multiple decades as a census taker, and volunteering extensively with Meals on Wheels of Tarrant County, an organization that reflected his values and compassion.

Jack grew up in St. Louis, where summer afternoons cheering on the Cardinals sparked his lifelong love of baseball. While working in Kansas City he adopted the Royals as his team, and after moving to the Dallas-Fort Worth area he rarely missed watching a Texas Rangers game.

Travel was one of Jack and Evon's greatest joys in this season of life. They traveled the world extensively, and those adventures-big or small-always became the memories they cherished most.

Throughout his life, Jack stayed curious and informed, stayed active, but most importantly he stayed kind. There are many who have benefited through the years from his selfless generosity.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
