Robert J. "Bob" Bean

BEAN ROBERT J. "BOB" , MD, 53, of Newburgh, IN died May 30, 2007 at his residence. Dr. Bean was born in Louisville, KY on October 15, 1953, the son of Helen Bean Charrier and the late Robert H. Bean. Bob graduated from Atherton High School, the University of Kentucky, and the University of Louisville School of Medicine in 1981. He married his high school sweetheart, Janie Sanders, July 26, 1975. Dr. Bean practiced anesthesiology in Tampa, FL for 15 years, then at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, KY. He was the Director of Anesthesiology at Methodist Hospital in Henderson, KY at the time of his death. Bob is survived by his wife, Janie of Newburgh; his three children, Tom of Atlanta, GA; Amy of Lexington, KY; and Mandy of Newburgh; his sister, Pat Adams of Campbell, CA; his mother, Helen Charrier of Bayonet Point, FL; stepfather, Lee Charrier; and two step sisters, Barbara Smith and husband, Fred of Plymouth, MI and Diane Charrier of Ketchikan, AK. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. (EST) Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at Pearson's Funeral Home, followed by private burial at Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville, KY. Visitation will be 2- 7 p.m. (CST) Sunday, June 3, 2007 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel and from 3-7 p.m. (EST)Monday at Pearson's Funeral Home, 149 Breckenridge Lane, Louisville, KY.
