Dad, it's hard to believe it's been 10 long years without you. We miss you so much. You always said, "People with white hair know everything!" Well, we still think YOU did, anyway. So many times, I miss your wisdom, your guidance and your big bear hugs. Devin & Rachel still find inspiration in who you were and their memories of you. You'd be proud of your grandkids, Dad. They are talented, creative, strong, independent and truly amazing. I hope you knew in life, and still know now, how very much you are loved. Love from your daughter, Cheryl, Andrew, Rachel, Devin and cats (yes...lots of cats).XOX

Uncle Bob, you are deeply missed. I have many fond memories of you in my heart. I always felt proud of who you were and what you had achieved in your life. I remember how Mom adored you and how much fun you would have together when visiting. You welcomed me into your home and helped me get a job and a place to live when I was young and just starting out. Thank you so much for your love and guidance. I'm very privileged to call you Uncle.

Dad,
It is so hard to believe that a year has already gone by since we lost you. I remember it like it was yesterday. We promised you when your illness began that we would NEVER forget you and we would do our best to be sure you were not afraid and alone.
It was an honour for Mom , Tim and I to be with you on your last day.
We miss you, Dad. We miss your noble character, your guidance and your wacky sense of humour. We miss your hugs. We have some comfort in knowing you are together again with your parents, aunts and uncles and brothers- and now your dear sister, Stella.
We'll always remember you Dad. Just like you asked. And we will always love you. The best of who we are is because of you.
Rest in Peace
Love from your Family

Dear Uncle Bob
For the longest time I didn't know how to say good-bye.But as I sit here tonight it feels a little more right cause you now have a Angel in your arms,it's your sister Stella my mom.My heart breaks just to let her go .But it is easier knowing that she is with you and her other brothers holding her and keeping her safe for me.For that I thank-you.
Miss and love you forever, your niece

Big brother we never said “Good-bye” and never will.
The huge empty space you left in our lives is felt by all of us who love you and miss you.
I especially miss your beautiful smile and the twinkle in you eyes… even when you weren’t smiling… that twinkle always betrayed your wonderful sense of humor. I only regret we didn’t have more time together, but I will treasure the wonderful memories I have of you.
Loving you always,
Your sister Vicky (Beaver) Guess.

The first time I met Cousin Bob and Marion was in the summer of 1968 when my wife Carol and I drove through Calgary while on vacation from Montreal to visit Vancouver.
Prior to that time the only link we had to Bob was hunting as a boy with Bob’s father, Sydney. Similar to the kindness shown by Sydney when he would spend time gathering wild apples to make us hungry hunters baked apple dessert instead of actually hunting himself, Bob insisted that we not only stay at their house in Calgary, we were put up in the master bedroom.
In the early 1980’s Bob retired and the family moved to Maple Ridge near Vancouver. We certainly enjoyed our visits with the Beavers during that period. Rest in peace Bob, if master bedrooms are available up there, you deserve one of them.
