Robert Best Obituary
He was the son of the late Arthur and Jean Best (Wheeler), and brother to his late sister Beverly. He was born on May 15th 1941 in East Providence Rhode Island.
He retired after many years working as a draftsman for Electric Boat of Groton Connecticut. Bob was a family man who, when not at work, could be found operating his Ham Radio or tinkering in the garage and almost always working on a vehicle.
Robert was preceded in death by his loving wife Olison 'Ollie' Northup Best. They raised their children together and now are together again for eternity.
He is survived by his nine children. David Card (RI), Kathleen Ponte (RI), Karen Kiley(RI), Sharon DeLaRosa (IA), Carol Vicario (AZ), Robert Dessaint (FL), Gregory Best (RI), Jerred Best (CT) and Kristie Stepney (CT). He was a grandfather to 21 beautiful grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. At this time we are planning a celebration of life in the near future. Details will be announced soon.

Bob was my cousin. We lived side by side in Warwick Rhode Island for many years. My brother and sister lived next door to him. I tried calling him but wasn't aware he passed away. I'd like to know exactly what illness he had when he passed on. Very sorry I missed his funeral. Condolences to family members. Gene Allen 647 0254 Johnston R.I.

I remember Bob very well, I first met Bob working at EB in Connecticut and I met Ollie his wife st the RB picnic. We spent many we´re enjoyable times together between get togethers and PowWows. Bob had a very big heart if you ever needed his help he would go out of his way to help you out. He would even give you the shirt off his back. He had a very Godly smile that would melt butter. I could never forget our time at EB working with the Szar In Electrical Design for the Navy´s Submarines. God is getting a very hard worker and the family and his friends are loosing a very loving man,
