Robert Billings Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 23, 2025.
Robert L. Billings, born on April 13, 1955, in Hartford, Connecticut, passed away on June 17, 2025, in Lady Lake, Florida. He was 70 years old.

A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Bob served his country with honor as a combat engineer at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, and Camp Pendleton, California. His time in the military reflected his deep sense of duty and commitment to service-qualities that remained central throughout his life.

Following his military service, Bob built a long and dedicated career at Pratt and Whitney Aircraft. As a supervisor in jet engine manufacturing, he played a vital role in advancing aviation technology. Known for his strong work ethic and unwavering dedication to providing for his family, Bob often worked two or three jobs simultaneously to ensure their well-being.

Bob's devotion to family was evident in every aspect of his life. He is survived by his beloved wife, Joline Scott; his daughter Katy E. Gregg and her husband Adam; his son Ryan S. Billings; and his step-sons Marc R. Passmore and Robert A. Passmore Jr., along with Robert's wife Melissa. He also leaves behind cherished nephews Arthur Krueger, Mark Krueger, and Raymond Billings Jr., as well as seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren who brought him immense pride and joy.

He was preceded in death by his mother Arliene Sandever Billings, father Ralph Billings, and daughter Sarah A. Billings.

Bob will be remembered for the quiet strength he carried through life and the selflessness with which he cared for those around him. He always wanted the best for the people he loved and never stopped thinking of others before himself.

He will be missed more than words can express. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him. A Celebration of Life will be held on July 19, 2025, from 02:00 PM to 04:00 PM at Satellite Clubhouse East Norman St, Water Oak Lady Lake Fl 32159
