Robert Blanke III Obituary
Rob was born September 28, 1981 in Cumberland, Maryland to Robert Joseph Blanke, Jr. and Linda Herzberg Blanke. He was a graduate of Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire, IL and earned his BS in Computer Engineering from NC State University. After graduation, he returned to NC State where he worked in IT as a Senior Systems Programmer.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Robert Blanke, Sr., Leola Blanke, Maurice Herzberg, and Sarah Herzberg.
He leaves behind his parents; his loving wife Megan Hoyle Blanke; sons, Landon and Ethan; and devoted canine companion Oliver. He is also survived by his sisters Martha McClure (Mitch) and Megan Kass (Nico); and nieces and nephews Ava McClure, Aiden McClure, Tara Kass, and Calvin Kass.
Rob will be remembered as a self-proclaimed coffee snob who loved playing video games with his sons, building computers, spending time on the lake with his family, and Chicago Cubs hats. He cared deeply for those around him and had the biggest heart for animals, especially rescue dogs.
The family will hold an informal Celebration of Life to remember Rob on Sunday, August 3 from 1:00-3:00 pm at Fortnight Brewery in Cary.

Rob worked for me for over 10 years, and in that time, I came to know him as not only a dedicated and dependable colleague, but a truly wonderful and giving person. He was a devoted father who deeply loved his two boys and cherished his wife. Rob´s warmth, integrity, and steady presence made a lasting impact on those around him. He will be greatly missed.
