My first memory of Bob was his infectious smile and kind heart. From the moment you meet him, you are put at ease by his kind nature. I was able to talk to him like we were just best buddies for years. Every time I saw Bob we always talked about sports and TV. We shared some good moments together and a lot of great conversations. My time with Bob is something i will treasure forever. I will truly miss the friendship he and I had. I can truly say that Bob was a friend and to me family. Bob always showed a good face and courage to anyone who saw him. Even when he wasn't feeling well he still stayed the kind hearted person that he was. For me he taught me to always have a kind heart and be open to new people. Always to remember to have a kind heart and that would open many great friendships for you. I will miss our time we spent having all those great conversations. Bob will always be in my heart and never be forgotten by me. Bob gave me something to strive for in being a the best person you can be.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Bob. I remember working with him when I was involved with the play group he founded, the `St. John´s Players´. Bob cleverly wrote the plays we all performed in. We had a large group of students and it was a great activity for them to learn and perform in the plays. My daughter and several of her friends were involved and it was great fun. I was able to see my autistic son even perform with the group. We traveled to many locations to entertain including nursing homes and even the prison. It was a great activity that my kids and I were involved in for that time in our lives. Frieda, we all had some good times then, my heart goes out to you. Love, Denise Cyprian

I worked with Bob at SCDSS for many years. He was a joy to be around and always brought a smile to my face. I loved to hear him sing and by doing so he brought joy to our office. Bob will be deeply missed by his coworkers at SCDSS.

I worked with Bob for many years at DSS. Bob was very special to many of us. He gave everyone the benefit of the doubt. He didn't hold anything against anyone. He loved Summerville Greenwave football. One of our favorite memories is when Bob heard that Bill Clinton was down the street from the office. He literally ran down there and was able to see and speak to President Clinton. Bob knew everything about major league baseball. Not just the Yankees. I would ask him trivia questions about baseball and he rarely missed one. He was a very good man and a good friend who will be missed.
