Robert "Bob" Orr, Sr. Obituary
On August 17, 2022. Age 88. Of West Deptford, formerly of Gloucester City, NJ. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late, James and Margaret Orr. Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Eleanor (Jones) Orr; loving children; Randy Orr, James Orr, Cheryl Conroy; step-children, Jay Getchell (Junita), Mark Getchell, Nicole Getchell; 22 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Walt Orr; sister and brother-in-law, Edna and Ron Chiodi. Bob was also predeceased by his sons, Robert J. Orr, Jr., Brian Orr and Kenneth Orr.
Bob retired in 2018 after 27 years from Ace Ford in Woodbury where he worked as a car salesman. He was a former member of the Garden State String Band, and was a volunteer fireman with the Almonesson Fire Department where he also had severed as Chief during his 24 years of service.
Memorial service will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 24th at 12:00 pm at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 851 Monmouth St., Gloucester City, where family and friends may visit from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
