So sorry to hear of your loss. I loved Dr. Bobo. He was such a special person. I was diagnosed with crohns at the age of 12. He took such good care of me. Our family is very sad at the sudden passing of Dr. Bobo. He treated my daughter in 2004 and found out what was wrong with her. She was very ill and we didnt think she would make it. After many different test from different Dr.s and not knowing what she had at age 3 we were refered to Dr. Bobo. He did not waste any time and found out what she had. The time he spent with our family trying to get her Colitis under control and many late night ER visits he was always there for her. He had alot of compassion for his patients. Heaven is getting a great DR. and person.
Sorry for your loss.

I have been away from home and a friend just informed me of the sad news. I worked with Dr. Bobo in the GI Unit at Toledo Hospital. It was always a delight to see him come into the unit. Never did he ever fail to say hi or take a moment to chat whether it was at the hospital or at the Jamie Farr tournaments. He will be greatly missed. ----Sue Fetzer

Dear Barbara and Family,
Very seldom does a man as great as Bob come along! He should be given Sainthood! Your dear husband saved the life of my child back in 1979! I will never forget him, and I will always be beholding to him!
Many people do not realize just how many children Dr. Bobo saved throughout the years. He was instrumental in the research and treatment connected to Reye's Syndrome back in the 70's and 80's, when hundreds of kids were dying of this mysterious disease all over the country. Without his assistance, research, and teaching, thousands more children across this country would have died from Reye's Syndrome!
What a great and giving man he was. What a great and wonderful Legacy he leaves behind.
He and his 'muchness' will be missed.

Dear Barbara and family:
We are sorry to hear about your loss, we still can not believe it. The first time we met Bob, he brought Godiva chocolates to our house in Sylvania and he talked about City College of New York where Grace also went to school and how he used to ride the C train to get there. It was a lot of fun talking to him.
We will remember him and keep you and your family in our prayers.

I first met Dr Bobo when he was doing night peds, high risk delivery coverage at V's in the late 80's, it was evident then how much of a "people person" he was. I then again seen him with my daughter in 1995 at the MCO feeding team. He was a great mentor, passionate care giver and will be truly missed in the community. Out deepest sympathy for his family. It was with the greatest sadness that I learned today of the passing of such a great teacher. As a resident you never really get the chance to thank the teacher, then as an attending you get too busy to remember the passionate people who helped get you where you are. Dr. Bobo helped me to understand that medicine can be hectic, but also can be enjoyed with a sense of grace. I will always have the vision of him leaving the hospital ward with that brown coat over his shoulder. I will miss him, and my sincerest condolences to his family. He will be missed, but now he is saving another life.

To Barb and family – We are thinking of you at this time of sorrow. I worked with "Dr. Bob" when he was here at the Medical College of Ohio (1992-1995). He was a wonderful and compassionate doctor and a very kind person to work for. I had the utmost respect and admiration for him. I was one of the lucky employees who was able to get to know him outside of work. You both attended a "Labor Day Bash" (1995) that we had at our home and you were both a joy to have there. Our thoughts and prayers are with you now.
