Robert T. Bohl, 84, of 1030 Stanley St., Chippewa Falls, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013 at his residence surrounded by his loving family and St. Joseph's Hospice.
He was born Jan. 20, 1928 in Chippewa Falls, the son of Theodore and Mathilda (Boos) Bohl. He graduated from McDonell High School in 1946.
Bob started Bohl and Proulx in 1951 along with his brother, Otto, and Norman Proulx. He retired from the business in 1987 but continued to work part-time for several years. He enjoyed fishing, bowling and working on projects with his buddies. He volunteered, ushered and was an active member of St. Charles Parish.
On May 19, 1953 he married Patricia A. Schemenauer at St. Charles Church in Chippewa Falls.
He was a member of St. Charles Church, the Knights of Columbus Goldsmith Council #974 and U.C.T. #335.
Bob is survived by his wife of 59 years, Pat; five daughters, Char (Kim) Agnew, Nancy (Zip) Bauwens, Roxie (Denny) Murphy, Bev (Doug) Hunt and Rhonda (Jim) Seckora, all of Chippewa Falls; three brothers, Bill (Mary Jane) Bohl and Otto (Doris) Bohl, both of Chippewa Falls, and Matt (Pat) Bohl of Bloomer; two sisters, Agatha Dachel and Mary Bowe, both of Chippewa Falls; 12 grandchildren, Josh (fiancé, Brett) Agnew, Katie (Eddy) Kaiser, Trevor and Greg Bauwens, Shirley Murphy, Brandi Monreal, Jennifer (Ryan) Berg, Lucas, Dustin and Caleb Hunt, Nate and Tricia Seckora; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by one son, Curtis Bohl in 1972; his parents; one brother, Herman Bohl; and four sisters, Theresa Kressin, Ludwina Schindler, Dorothy Liedl and Rose Bowe.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 14 at St. Charles Church in Chippewa Falls. Rev. Robert Latona will be celebrant of the funeral Mass. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Chippewa Falls.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13 and until 10 a.m. Monday at the Horan Funeral Home in Chippewa Falls. The Knights of Columbus Goldsmith Council #974 will recite the rosary at 4 p.m., and there will be a Christian Vigil Service at 6 p.m., both on Sunday at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank St. Joseph's Healthcare and Hospice.
Dad always said "Heaven's my home, I'm just here on a visit." You're home now, Dad.
