Robert Bosworth Sr.

Robert Bosworth, Sr. 88, of Lebanon, passed away on February 14, 2015 after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife, Ruth (Wolfensberger) Bosworth. They just celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on February 11th. Robert is also survived by one son, Robert Bosworth, Jr. and his wife, Kathy of Lebanon; two grandchildren, Heather Cardona and her husband, Brian of Columbia and Michael Bosworth and his wife, Lisa of Tolland; three great granddaughters Ashley, Katelyn and Megan VanDyke of Columbia. He also leaves a special niece, Elaine Criscuolo of Oxford and a special nephew, George Maynard of Westerly, RI. Robert was born in Putnam on October 9, 1926. He was predeceased by his father, Burton D. Bosworth and his mother, Daisy (Duggan) Bosworth. He was also predecased by his sister, Phyllis (Bosworth) VanNess of New Hampshire. Robert was a graduate of Buckley High School. He then served during WW II in the U.S. Army stationed in Italy from June 1945 to February 1947. He received the Victory Medal of Occupation for his service. After his discharge he opened the B&M Garage in Norwich with his brother in law, George Maynard. They remained in business from 1951-1978. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and the American Legion. Services and burial will be private - there are no calling hours; all at the request of the family.
