Robert Bullard Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 23, 2024.
Robert John Bullard February 25, 1981 to April 18, 2024 loving son and grandson passed away unexpectedly at the age of 43. Robert was born in San Francisco, CA. Robert and his brother, Michael, spent countless weekends as children in Golden Gate Park going to the play grounds, riding bikes and roller skating. As young adults, Robert and his brother Michael introduced their dogs Tank and Khloe, to the park, and spent many happy hours in the park, at the beach and all over the City.

Robert's love for the 49ers began at a very early age. Grandma would take him to training camp in Redwood City during the late 80 and 90's where he met all the great players of that time, celebrating 5 Superbowl wins before he was 13yrs old.

To say that Robert loved "The City" is an understatement as he thrived with the hustle and bustle. Robert created "City Girl Apparel" further sharing his love for San Francisco presenting unique designs featuring the City's iconic attractions. Robert also worked with his uncle Brendan at "Maloney's Christmas Tree Lot" and at "San Francisco Native" apparel.

When Robert wasn't at a press, he was a proud member of International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) Local 16 as an apprentice. Robert enjoyed his work especially when called to the Chase Center to work for the Golden State Warriors.

Within the last few years, Robert became the owner of a 1972 Cutlass, his pride and joy. Unbeknownst to Robert at the time, it would bring a car club and a new group of close friends. Robert created a new apparel line called "Smashin'" that catered to his new found love for classic cars and the tight knit community it embraces. Robert always felt at home when at car club events, and spoke fondly of the people he met.

Robert had a mind for business, but also had very generous heart. Robert often looked for ways to give back quietly to his community by donating his time, his tee shirts and apparel. Robert was known to give food, and his shoes to homeless people and was happy to do it.

Robert is survived by his mother, Erin Maloney, grandmother Margaret Maloney, several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews along with hundreds of dear friends.

Robert was preceded recently in death by his brother Michael Hartzer, his uncle's Sean and Eamon Maloney and grandfather, John P. Maloney.

Special thanks to Tank, who was forever by his side in life and in death.

Robert and Michael, thank you for being my sons. Sleep sweet until we meet again. XOXO

Friends are invited to visit this Friday, April 26th from 6 til 9 pm and celebrate Robert's beautilful life this Saturday, April 27th from 6 til 9pm.

I am saddened to hear about Rob´s passing while memories flood back the most amazing memory I have of Rob is rapping to e-40 driving "smashing" around in his cutlass through the city. He knew how to lighten up the room and will truly be missed.

I am devastated to hear about this. Too many memories to pick a favorite. From the Cadillac to the Cutlass. Running around as kids, being your chauffeur to the clubs before I turned 21, thank you for being in my life for all these years and for always being unapologetically YOU.

Goodbye Robert Bullard, my neighborhood friend. I just saw you last week at work at the warriors smiling. I wish I would´ve given you an hug, instead of a bunch of playful crap.... Like we always did

You were a special person with a very bright light inside. It´s shone in my community for years. From Christmas trees to the local we work to the hood and cars and girls. You had a socially stellar, scholarly mind . It gave you a good wise head on your shoulders and a big heart in your chest for your community which I know will sorely miss you and readily turn out to send your spirit off to the heavens properly.

But like I said initially. I´m going to miss seeing your smiling face and hearing your young wisdoms. Even that sometimes daily dose of humorous interaction I´ve come to thoroughly enjoy between us. It´s still like I can´t believe it but I´ve seen so many people pass. You´re at the top of a recent tapestry of talented and passionate people I´ve come to know and love and years later experience loss. You make up who I become by exposing me to the better angels of our humanity of which I need to drastically learn. So thank you for being an influence on me buddy. You´re friendship respect and comradery will always be cherished

Robert, we will definitely miss that upbeat smile and can do attitude. It´s a sad loss to lose another SF native son. You were always ready to tell a story and for the most part they were funny. I´m going to miss you and your presence at work brother
