Robert Campbell Obituary

Robert Paul Campbell Sr., 65, of Dumfries, Va., died Sunday, Sept. 8, 2002 at Potomac Hospital in Woodbridge, Va. In 1979, he retired from the U.S. Army as a lieutenant colonel. He had served during the Vietnam and Korean wars. He was also stationed in Germany and the Washington, D.C., area. After his retirement, Robert founded Advanced Information Management, Inc. (AIM), which is located in Woodbridge, Va. AIM is a pioneering firm dedicated to information security and disaster recovery. Mr. Campbell is survived by his wife of 39 years, Mary Jean Sandford Campbell of Dumfries; a daughter, Dawn Wells Farrington and her husband Robert A. Farrington of Houston, Texas; a son, Robert P. Campbell Jr. and his wife Brandy Lynn Campbell of Manassas, Va.; three grandsons, Andrew, Joshua, and Troy of Houston; a sister, Jane Campbell Goodale and her husband Bruce A. Goodale of Windsor, Conn. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 4, 2002 at the old Falls Church Episcopal Church, 115 E. Fairfax St., Falls Church, Va. Interment will follow at National Memorial Park in Falls Church. Flowers will not be accepted at the church.
