BATTAGLIA SALVATORE THOMAS
Age 92, of Bethel Park, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 9, 2011. Husband of the late Marie; father of Calman (Linda) Kountz, Sandy (Jim) Swasey and Tom (Pam) Battaglia; brother of Joe Battaglia, Anthony (Sara) Battaglia, the late Mary "Babe" Saeli and the late Augie Battaglia; grandfather of Robert, Lora (Rick), Ursula, Melissa (Dale), Amos and Jeffrey; also survived by great-grandchildren; step- grandchildren; step-great- grandchildren; nieces and nephews. A US Marine, Mr. Battaglia served in WWII in the Asiatic Pacific and the American Campaigns (Saipan, Tawara, and Tinian). He received Presidential Citations: the Bronze Star, marked "V" for Valor and the Purple Heart. Funeral arrangements by BEINHAUER- CONNELL FUNERAL HOME. Friends welcome at 5120 W. Library Ave., Bethel Park, 412-835-7940, on Tuesday, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Service and interment private.
