Robert Carl "Bob" Hedlund Obituary
Bob died Wednesday, July 13, 2022. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dorothy Kay; son Philip Hedlund, daughter Kathy Phillips; six grandchildren, Molly and Jack Hedlund; Sian, Teigin, Keiran and Tara Phillips; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born June 21, 1942, in Jamestown, NY to Robert Andreas Hedlund and Evelyn Arlene Hedlund (Hegman). He proudly served 3 years, CPT US Army (Vietnam). He graduated in 1974 from Penn State with a PhD in Entomology, going on to a career at USDA and USAID in pest management research.
Family will receive friends on Aug 16th, between 2pm-5pm, with a service at 3pm, at Adams-Green 721 Elden St, Herndon, VA.
Internment at Arlington National Cemetery will be held at a later date.
