Bob was my mentor in the TaxAide program. His patience with our transition from doing it with a calculator and a ruler to keep on the right line to computers (no math errors!) was priceless. He taught us with experiential notes that made it personal as well as helping us along. His generosity and kindness will always be remembered. diane Temple

I was fortunate to interact with Bob when he was volunteering as an AARP Certified Tax Preparer. He was the Local Coordinator at the LaVerne site, and he was such a pleasure to volunteer with. He told me about his wood working, and he brought in samples for me to see. They were amazing. He was always kind, professional, and just the nicest person. Betsy MacLaren

Marie, I am so sorry for your loss, which is a loss for all of us who knew Bob. He was my mentor and teacher in the Tax Aide program, we worked side-by-side for many years and became good friends. He was indeed a kind and generous man. What I remember most about him is how patient and calm he was. When his many clients would come to have their taxes done, if I was available and Bob was busy I would offer to take care of them, but most of the time they would say, "Oh no, I want Bob." A true gentleman.

Bob was indeed talented. His wood art was innovative and masterful. But his love and respect for his wife, my friend, Marie, was inspirational for waiting for and finding one´s true soulmate.
