ROBERT WAYNE DELAP

Robert "Wayne" DeLap, 73 passed away peacefully on May 1, 2023 at Hospice Community Center in Jacksonville, Florida. Wayne was born in July 7, 1949 in Baltimore to parents Samuel DeLap and Vaulee Snodgrass DeLap who preceded him in death. He lived in the Maryland area many years and was a proud member of the IBEW Local Union No. 24, for over 50 years. All who knew Wayne knew he had a passion for old country music and antiquing for unique finds with his loving wife of 43 years, Sharon R. DeLap. His "Top Pocket" was always full, he loved to sit a spell, and there was always a delightful story or joke that needed to be told.

In addition to his wife, he will be missed greatly by his sister Beverly Burton (Homer), Four daughters Lisa "Shelly" Donnelly (Keith), Sherri McGaha, Sabrina Winpigler (Chris), Sherryl Adsit; four grandchildren Brandy McGaha, Christopher Winpigler, Ryan Adsit, and Brandon Renner. He also leaves behind five great grandchildren. Wayne was preceded in death by his sister Barbara Sanner (Jack) and his grandson Michael Winpigler. In addition, he leaves behind an exceptional group of friends at Maceli's on Pine Island where they spent their Monday nights.

Wayne and Sharon's teacup Yorkie, Sweet Pea will be missing her daddy.
