WINDHAM, N.H. — Robert A. Devaney, 67, of Windham, N.H., died Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, N.H.
He was born in Methuen, where he grew up. He attended St. Rita's Grammar School and later graduated from Central Catholic High School. He was a resident of Windham for the past 50 years.
Bob was a self employed oil burner repairman. He was also a self employed mechanic. He was a member of St. Matthew's Church in Windham, N.H. Bob was a race car driver enthusiast, driving car # 222. He was a jack of all trades, but most of all he was a loving husband and father.
Bob was predeceased by a son Shane Devaney. He is survived by his wife, Nicole (Ouellette) Devaney of Windham; four sons, Robert and his wife Sharyl Devaney of W. Charleston, Vt., Sean Devaney of Windham, Serge Devaney of Derry, N.H., Brice Devaney of Derry; two daughters, Kelly Devaney and her partner Christy of Oceana, Calif., Heidi and her husband Glenn Williams of Windham, former wife, Eleanor (Brown) and her husband Richard March of Pittsburg, N.H.; two brothers, Joseph Devaney of Salem, N.H., Steve Devan of Methuen, 11 grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: A memorial Mass will be celebrated Monday, June 29 at 10 a.m. at St. Matthew's Church Windham, N.H. Inurnment will follow in Cemetery on the Plain, Windham. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Community Hospice House, 210 Naticook Road, Merrimack, NH 03054.
